Amiibrawl is a Super Smash Bros. Ultimate tournament hosted by NAWBALL, especially Aubz and Junie, inspired by chongoshow's (Jenny) CPU Kerfuffle. The distinguishing feature of this tournament is that it is played by Amiibos, which allows for extra customization of fighter personalities in combat.
Eight teams compete in double-elimination tournaments, and the winner has the opportunity to become champion by challenging the previous one. Everyone has their own stories, motivations, personalities, and quirks that lead to them signing up, all of which is based off submissions and iterated on through improv by the commentators between matches. This also leads to the creation of absurd running bits, in-jokes, and emergent stories about what exactly a Figure Player is, the true nature of The Abyss, and the identity and motivation of in-universe tournament manager Weatherman.
Amiibrawl is commentated by a rotating cast of Commentators with their own approach to match commentary and varying levels of knowledge about Super Smash Bros. They're just as much a part of the story as the fighters themselves; each announcer has a fighter of their own that represents them, and a few of them are even involved in the story-- like Planos, who is responsible for the fighters' conversion into FPs and is an overworked houseplant.
It was first started in March 2022 as a spinoff of NAWBALL Fight Club and had 8[citation needed] Gaidens before going on hiatus until September 2025. Welcome to The Return!
In addition to the fights themselves, Junie has also been working on Smashup Amiibrawl, a megamix mashup taking cues (and the backup instrumental) from Jenny's Smashup Kerfuffle.
