The Abyssal Enervation & Golemic Internment System, or Aegis for short, is an announcer for Amiibrawl and a participant in NAWBALL Fight Club. It is the stand-in for the commentator Asriel and defaults to Skin 8 Hero or Skin 2 Byleth when shown.

Aegis is an Abyssal being that came into ownership of many powerful relics at once thanks to a deal made with an unknown second party. They also are in ownership of an Archive through similar dealings, which it uses to store and safeguard the relics in its possession.

When it comes to Amiibrawl, Aegis is considered permanently disqualified from all competition under the ruling that all participants must possess a soul (Planos ruled that the soul of another, despite being fully within Aegis' possession, is also insufficient for participation). Despite this, Aegis is an announcer from time to time, with a preference for robotic and strange participants, including but not limited to i and Thunderrat.

NAWBALL Fight Club

Under NBFC continuity, Aegis frequents Fight Club events in order to test the relics they own. This results in a chaotic assortment of fighting styles, where a huge variety of weapon styles and combat techniques are utilized once and then never seen or heard from again. Their preference for the use of the greataxe "Aymr" often leads them to prefer Byleth when not testing weapons, however.
