Deneb used to be the stadium scoreboard; they spontaneously developed sentience over time, but continue to act as official tournament scorekeeper. Their current form is a hard-light holoprojection, created by their technical "actual" body, which is a small and mostly-featureless blue humanoid robot (this is the diegetic explanation for Rex showing up in Pyra/Mythra's animations). They are plural.

Deneb made its tournament debut in [[Amiibrawl B-Side 1]], representing [[Team Backstage]]. After losing to [[Cillis]] in round 2, it claimed victory in losers bracket and rematched them in the final round, managing to force a bracket reset before being defeated again in a very close final match.
