Ben is the former archivist for Amiibrawl who quit for unknown reasons. Despite leaving, he still has a fondness for the Amiibrawl Staff, expressing a desire to reconnect and "catch up with everybody." Additionally, he appears to have an interest in solving the [[Figure Player#Boxes|situation with the boxes]], seeming particularly distraught at [[Static Mike]]'s current condition.


He has been described by [[Planos]] as a nerd.



Ben debuted in [[Amiibrawl 11]]. He was also boxed during that tournament, though the effects were mild.

During [[Amiibrawl 12]], Planos decided to rehire him to investigate the box situation alongside [[Catbird]].

Catbird is an Amiibrawl fighter on [[Team Arrow]]. He is a skin 2 Pit.

Catbird is a space superhero trying to take down the evil [[Catmint]] once and for all!!! …except not really; they’re chill when they’re not doing the whole hero-villain thing, and have a Dr Doofenshmirtz/Agent P dynamic. His real name is a secret.

He debuted in [[NBFC/Amiibrawl Gaiden 3]] because he wanted to fight things that aren't crime for once. Mostly because of having solved all crime.

Catbird returned in [[Amiibrawl 11]] due to [[Catmint]]{{Box}} having been boxed in [[Amiibrawl 10]]. He had a pretty bad time.

During [[Amiibrawl 12]], [[Planos]] officially hired Catbird to investigate the box situation alongside [[Ben]].

Tails is an Amiibrawl fighter for [[Team Arrow]]. He is a skin 6 Sonic.

Miles Prower (マイルス・パウアー Mairusu Pauā?), better known as Tails (テイルス Teirusu?), is a fictional character that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. He is an anthropomorphic fox born with two distinct twin-tails, hence his nickname. Due to his abnormality, Tails was a victim to bullying during his youth. One day, however, he met Sonic the Hedgehog and was inspired to become as cool as him after seeing him run like the wind. Tails soon after began following Sonic on his adventures and has since become his best friend and sidekick. He is able to use his twin-tails to fly by rotating them like helicopter rotors and is a mechanic genius and aerial pilot.

Figure Players, also known as FPs, also also known as Amiibos, are the main mechanic of Amiibrawl.

All [[:Category:Fighters|Amiibrawl participants]] are FPs. In some previous lore, this was a side effect from arriving in the pocket dimension that Amiibrawl takes place in (and by pocket dimension I actually mean Space Florida); to a much larger extent, though, this is the result of a deal with [[Planos]] as a condition of participating in the tournament.

FPs have their souls stored in their NFC tag, a small white item of about the size of a coin that is usually kept on their person.

''Someone'' is doing research on FPs, including on how to edit them and on what exactly they are. [[Ark]] is also researching FPs, including by turning herself into one, though her research is presently less far along than whoever's is behind the Boxes is, or perhaps has a different focus. [[Ash]] is capable of being an FP or a Player, which is due to [[Brooke]]'s research.

According to [[Amiibologist]], who was studying FPs at New Donk University, FPs can be distinguished from CPUs, which have less variation in behaviour, and Players, which have more.

==Boxes==
Starting in [[Amiibrawl 10]], some FPs began appearing with boxes ({{Box}}) at the end of their names. The first of these was [[Katt|Katt{{Box}}]], a consequence of his recent soul transplant due to her NFC tag going missing, but then boxes started appearing at the ends of other fighters' names. If a fighter's name is the full 10 characters, the box will replace the last letter rather than being placed after it.

The boxes are a consequence of sloppy bin editing; if changes are made to a FP's soul and this is not done carefully, the box will appear. As a result, the impacts of the boxes vary from fighter to fighter. Katt{{Box}}, the only one whose boxing was Planos's fault, just seemed mildly unfocused. [[Catmint|Catmint{{Box}}]] started acting a bit weird and became faster in combat, and [[Ben|Ben{{Box}}]] just felt mildly nauseous (but may have had enhanced combat abilities; it is unclear whether this is actually the box's fault), while [[Static Mike|Static Mik{{Box}}]] was very severely affected. A presumed attempt to un-box Mik{{Box}} only made matters worse, with Static {{Box}}{{Box}}{{Box}}{{Box}} being almost entirely incoherent and only speaking in the NATO Phonetic Alphabet. For the most part, since the boxes indicate a change in the FP's very soul, boxed fighters are unlikely to be aware that anything is different, although in dramatic situations there may be exceptions.

It is currently unknown who is responsible for the boxes, though presumably it would have to be someone with access to Planos's FP technology or similar technology of their own. As far as the investigation team is concerned, [[Brooke]] is the prime suspect. [[Viking|Viking{{Box}}]] was the former prime suspect until his own boxing, although technically the prospect of a self-boxing isn't entirely off the table.

Team Abyss is one of the teams that Amiibrawl fighters can play for. It is for characters who might be a bit shady, might be a bit evil, or might be a bit dark in any way. The "sus" team. Some of them are associated with [[The Abyss]], but some are not.

Team Announcers (previously Team Aubzstrid) is one of the teams in Amiibrawl. It is the nepotism team, for characters the announcers would like, as well as the [[commentators|announcers]] themselves sometimes. Initially it was for fighters catering towards or singled out by Aubz and Astrid, hence the original name, but as more people got involved in running the tournament it got expanded to include other commentators' blorbos as well. The original name, logo, and color are still used on the fighter submission form.

i's i - the imaginary number sqrt(-1) given form. i decided to use this power to enter a fighting tournament, for some reason. i is a little guy (nongendered) that doesn't really understand the laws of reality but i's trying i's best and that's what matters.

Built by [[Ark]] to replace [[Spark]], Ray is a fierce fighter determined to prove themself better than their prototype. Helping them reach that goal is a volatile experimental power source, emphasis on the "volatile" and "experimental". They were built from Spark's original blueprints, and while they're missing Spark's various modifications there's enough of a resemblance for it to be kinda weird.

Ray is full of themself and confident they can do anything, but so far they haven't been able to back that up. Ark may be hoping to iron out any problems that crop up during their career. ...Or maybe she made Ray suck on purpose because she wanted to see what would happen if they got 3-stocked.

Ray debuted in [[Amiibrawl Gaiden 6]]. They reappeared in [[Amiibrawl 12]], where they absolutely ate shit.

Blue Gatorade was just a normal gator, until he tried a bottle of magical Gatorade that turned him blue. He thinks it gave him magical flavor powers like a certain other blue creature, but in truth, it only made him blue. He spreads the good word of blue gatorade, but he doesn't realize that the "magical flavor changing properties" are just him picking different flavors of blue gatorade.

Romantically involved with [[Action Replay]].

Blue Gatorade was the champion of Amiibrawl Gaiden 5. As a result, he is one of the fighters who has gotten the opportunity to look into [[the Abyss]]. It is unclear whether this has had effects or whether he was just chillin.

He reappeared in [[Amiibrawl 12]], where he had a brief villain arc caused by his newfound Abyss-caused colorblindness rendering him unable to tell what gatorades were blue. However, [[Klonoa In A Pac-Man Hat]]'s words of wisdom gave him the determination to overcome this despair, and he went on to win the tournament in a bracket reset against [[They/Them]], although he lost the championship match against [[BIG NUMBERS]].
